Baking acorn cookies

This illustration was created for the exhibition [píc.nic] and later featured in the book “Zusammen schmeckt alles am besten” I made with the embroidery artist Katherine Lopez. Cooking and baking together is a frequent motif in my illustrations. For me, it radiates warmth and coziness, as you create something together that nourishes the body and creates a sense of connection. Acorn cookies play a central role in the book, as they are the favorite food of all forest animals and thus create a connection between previously unknown beings.
